As the campaign for October 2020 Ondo state gubernatorial election begin in full force, the incumbent governor Rotimi A Akeredolu of the All Progressive Congress APC, takes his campaign to Oba, a town in Akoko town of the state with thugs in his convoy, seen shooting sporadically into the air as they took over the street.
From the video clip, one can see the thugs coming down from their cars as they shoot sporadically into the air without any reason or perhaps, to scare people away.
Watching the video, my heart bled because election campaign ought to be an avenue where intended leaders will have a heart to heart talk with the electorates, tell them their plans and all. But in my country and especially in this dispensation, campaign and election has become like a war.
