Empire movie star, Gabourey Sidibe is happily engaged to her man, Brandon Frankel and took to social media to share the news.

The actress posted a goofy video of herself showing off the ring with her man beside her while stating that that was the announcement.

She however wrote out a lengthy caption, stating that many folks actually think they are already married because the love and intention they have for each other is so pure.

Gabourey Sidibe praised her man for being the sweetest human to exist and the funniest man she knows.

He captioned the post: "I asked my best friend to marry me, and she said “YES”! So excited to spend the rest of my life with the most amazing, hilarious, beautiful, and inspiring woman I’ve ever known. I couldn’t imagine a life without you. We make the best team, and we make everything fun and memorable. I liked it, so I put a (ring) on it. Love you to the moon and back."
