The Supernumerary Police officers were established under Section 46, of the Police Act CAP 359 of 1968 as amended under Section 418, of the Police Act CAP 359 of laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1990.
This is a unique police unit which was established due to dwindling nature of security in Nigeria.
In the recent passing out of the new officers, a white man was spotted at police college as SPY police officer.
