The reason why students don't read nowadays is because they are mostly entangled by matters of the heart(Love,Relationships e.t.c) so they have little or no time to concentrate on their studies thus failing their exams and depending on bribery! I think we need to conduct youth programs througout the nation if not the world to lecture our students on how to get their minds focused on their studies! What do you think guys?

Well i wasn't the bookworm type while i was in school . I prefer to attend lectures/classes than burrying myself in my books .

are u saying youth dont read as much as they shld bcos of their sex life? wat about poverty,hunger....... many things have hindered education in dis country.sex or relationship is d least! go find beta thing to yarn joor! dumb post.

wat am sayin is dat most students gets exhausted in it.they devote their time to it! I even no of a friend hu told me that while reading 4 his Exams,HE'S usually lost in segxwal thoughts while thinkin of HER! n he said his girl friend also make such comments wen they r 2geda!! I mean, it should nt be aw primary purpose in life! hope u understand!

Regards, I wont support you totally on this one. Yes, love, sex and all the matters of the heart COULD make a student fail (if not properly handled) but you are wrong when you conclude that this is the ultimate reason why students fail today. Like Xter rightly pointed out, there are many other reasons like hunger, poverty, etc. Don't you know that the psychological depression that goes with poverty is enough to make a student fail? For me, I think its relative...different students have their different reasons for failing...
