Amotekun Corps Operatives' Clash With Fulani Herdsmen In Oyo Community Left Seven Dead

No fewer than seven people have been confirmed dead after operatives of Amotekun engaged some Fulani herdsmen in Oyo State.

The incident reportedly occurred at Aiyete in Ibarapa North Local government area of the state on Saturday.

Our correspondent gathered that men of Oyo State Security Network also known as Amotekun Corps engaged the Fulani herdsmen in a fight.

It was learnt that the clash started at Okebi village in Aiyete but the cause of the fight was not ascertained as at the time of filing this report.

Seven people were reportedly killed during the clash and no fewer than seven houses razed.

Meanwhile, the Amotekun Corps Commandant, Col. Olayinka Olayanju said the Corps arrested some suspected criminals in the state.

Our correspondent, however, gathered that no fewer than eleven people have been killed during clashes with Amotekun Corps operatives in the last few days in the state.

Three people were killed during a clash between the Amotekun Corps and some youths in Tapa town.

An undergraduate of the University of Ibadan was last month allegedly killed by Amotekun Corps operatives.

An operative of the Amotekun Corps shot a police officer in Oyo town last month.

The state governor, Seyi Mankide had yesterday, promised not to spare any of the members of Amotekun Corps who run afoul of the law.

Amotekun Corps Commandant, Col. Olayinka Olayanju who confirmed the latest clash said he was on his way to the area.

Olayanju said, “I heard the same thing and I am on my way there now.”

They are looking for every means to frustrate the omoteku and make the people see them as terror but their target is not just omoteku their target is to make the southerners feel that creating security outfit is a bad ideal but God will disgrace them because  people must protect  them selves weather the Fulani and Buhari likes it or not..

WHOEVER POST THIS NEWS IS A NAMA. WHY BLAMING AMOTEKUN ALONE?? WHAT ABOUT THE FULANIS THAT HAVE PROLIFERATE THE COUNTRY AND COSTITUTING NUISANCE EVERYWHERE. THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED.
