Mind u I copied this from Vanguard News paper online.....A comment from some body, just see how IBB destroyed our country...I was touched after reading this.......
Fellow Nigerians: A nation, they say, gets the kind of leadership she deserves. That means a truthful nation gets truthful leaders, and a corrupt nation gets corrupt leaders. The leadership of a nation is an antecedent of her character, because the nation usually elects leaders whose moral fibers are the same as the people. Many of us are living witnesses to the humiliating slide of Nigeria from the fountain of hope to the fountain of despondency. Regrettably, our Motherland traded her greatness for hopelessness because we allowed it to happen. We tolerated the pests, like General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, the dictator who imposed himself on Nigeria between August 27, 1985 and August 26, 1993, to gnaw the nation to exhaustion. The surreptitiously stealing cabal leader dribbled, deceived, and lied his way to bringing Nigeria from the “Giant of Africa” to the “comedian of Africa.” Once again, Babangida is on his way to molesting the nation. He wants to be the president! Here are some of the reasons why Nigerians should NEVER tolerate Babangida again:
BEFORE BABANGIDA • The world respected Nigeria as a continental power • Naira compared favorably to Western currencies • Unresolved political assassinations were limited • The green passport was respected abroad • We had presentable healthcare facilities • There were fewer homeless Nigerians • Electricity outages were bearable • Major cities had potable water • Nigerian roads were tolerable • Our schools had value
DURING BABANGIDA • Corruption, nepotism, sectionalism, & religious bigotry were institutionalized • Unwarranted assassinations (a la Dele Giwa, Mamman Vatsa, etc) began • Babangida himself wondered how the Nigerian economy held up • Nigeria fell from grace to grate; we started irritating the world • Electricity, water, and travelable roads became enigmas • Men & women in uniforms started abusing Nigerians • Our hospitals became death-consulting facilities • Naira began its epical journey of devaluation • Our schools started losing respect • Nigeria became a joke
Conclusively, Babangida could be the final curse that would terminate the geographical entity called Nigeria if we remain complacent and let him return to Aso Rock. The future of your offspring is at stake here. I earnestly plead with you, DO NOT BE AFRAID to forward this to every responsible Nigerian you know. DELE AJAJA is my name, and I take full responsibility for this. LET THE ETHICAL REVOLUTION BEGIN!

The author of the article did forget to mention the demise of Nigeria Airways, Railways etc. How can a country develop without adequate railway and international standard road network for mass movement of goods, persons and services with the off-spring benefit of reduced accidents on the road? I bel;ieve there are men of intergrity within the PDP that will stop him in his track during the primaries. If not, PDP will lose the next election if is fair and free. Already the North Central Zone is opposed to his candidature, not to talk of the other zones in the country similarly against him. Perhaps, he wants to use part of the loots stolen from our treasury for a doomed campaign.

oh, I would have appreciate you more if had include your age in the post and just in case you are less than thirty years of age, i implore you ask your uncle probably more than 40 years of age to tell you the negative and positive sides of IBB. cos in case you are less than 25 years then u do surely be between ten and 5 year of age when IBB stepped down as the military president of this great nation. In all ramification, i appreciate your good work as a good citizen of this great country. but it's noteworthy you find out about stories yourself rather than following mouths and as a result be fractional.
thankl u....

Which one be ur own, Mr 40 years or more? We see evidence of his past mis-governance in our roads, schools, hospitals and decayed transport systen, not to talk of dilapidated general infrastrutures and unprecedented level of corruption among the police and general populace. We are also aware of the missing $12 billion, (dollars ooo) gulf oil windfall under his watch and his unaccounted massive wealth. If you want to tell us his good deeds, we are all ears! If not, ur criticism is not objective but fractional, to use ur own words!
