Pastor Cancels Couple's Wedding Because They Arrived 5 Minutes Late; Despite Bride's Loyalty

A couple that decided to hold their white wedding at "Fulfilling-word" gospel ministry in Port Harcourt, Rivers State had the greatest surprise of their lives when the presiding pastor decided to cancel their wedding owing their 5 minutes of lateness.
It was later revealed that the bride had been a dedicated long time member of the church which she has attended for 12 years and also a church worker who attends all the church services from 7am till 2pm every Sunday. It was also revealed that the church had requested the couple to pay a refundable deposit of N50K which will be returned if they invited up to 200 guests to their wedding. As fate would have it, the couple settled to having their wedding in an hotel where another pastor was called to join the them as husband and wife - alas there was a happy ending, though not how it was earlier planned - we have clip of the eventual wedding below:


I hope this serves as a lesson to those who are bent on having weddings in church by all means, there is always a way to be a way - congrats to the couple!

It is not biblical to marry in the church. You can marry anywhere! The bible said the man shall leave his people and cling to his wife and the 2 shall become one! Simple! In as much as there are witnesses and the traditional wedding has been performed, all else are by choice and for the sake of the law, head to the registry.

The pastor did no wrong. It's high time Africans consider Time as the vehicle  for progress and fulfilment. There is nothing like African Time other than not doing anything properly. The Europeans  consider Time as everything hence even our maker made Time the  be all and end all of everything of thy creation. Time to be born and Time to Die, so why are Africans addicted to lateness of Timelessness is mind boggling.

There might be areas of the organisation and planning that could have not gone down well with the pastor, such as couple and their family taking decision about their own marriage without input of the church or the pastor. This could have been piling up and the singular act of the lateness was the last straw for him.

5minutes of lateness is not too bad to cancel a wedding over. That said, it's not written anywhere that the wedding must hold in the lady's church. I believe the guy has a church too, go do it there.
