Ghana Introduces Use of Locally Made 'Ankara' as School Uniforms.

Ghana has become the first country to introduce the use of locally made ankara fabrics as school uniforms.

Ghanaian education system took the bold step to endorse and implement the use of Ankara Uniforms.

This has been a step dubbed as an effort to celebrate and embrace the African heritage. In aims to promote and imprint the African impact on a larger scale, the education ministry of Ghana decided to first start by embracing the local richness of culture diversification on the dress code by the learners. It released a new design of uniforms by materials and designs locally made.







Ghana have been applauded by some African rulers for such a movement saying other African countries should follow suit and cherish and uphold their cultures in their education systems too. It has been praised as a sense of unity and pride for being an African in this day and age.
