ok... for me when we are angry, we just avoid each other for the next few minutes, and when we eventually talk, she manages to still call me the romantic name; I don't know how she does it, but for me, I won't talk to her, I'll just take a walk...

I guess you are not from Ajegunle............ Or have not had a fight yet. If not you stand to be corrected.
Direct calling of names (full name) or attached to kids - (Papa Nkechi), is a well known African Disease during fights.
Sometimes we slyishly qualify them with objects, even call them wird names using one's native dialects.
