Dr Doyin Okupe, a former senior special assistant on public affairs to former President Goodluck Jonathan,  on Tuesday formally declared his intention to be an aspirant for the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.

He stated this in a statement issued by his media office, titled, “2023: Doyin Okupe promises a government that prioritises the needs of the poor as he officially declares presidential ambition.”

“I believe I have the knowledge, the requisite national political experience and intellectual capacity and wisdom to halt the social and economic decadence, insecurity and pervasive poverty that has nearly made living meaningless in Nigeria.

“I want to run a government which for the first time will make the life, wellbeing and safety of lives and properties especially of the Poor and needy a major priority,” Okupe said.

He also promised that if given the mandate, he would radically change and overhaul the budgeting process to be people oriented than the fraudulent budgets we have run year in year out for the last 60 odd years.

He said 30 percent of national budget from 2023 under his administration will be devoted fully towards social welfare of the Nigerian people, noting, “The wealth of the nation will be enjoyed by the nationals not multinationals, foreign contractors and elites in the country.”

The former presidential spokesperson announced a social contract which he captioned ” My covenant with God and Nigerians”

The seven-point agenda are, Reset heal and reunite the nation; make the poor and needy the priority of government; end  insecurity in two years; and increase revenue base with massive agricultural drive.

He also pledged to increase electricity generation to 30,000 megawatts in three years; drastically reduce youth unemployment and re-engineer, revamp the national economy.

This must be the joke of 2021 at the height of delusion. Ni ibo ni won ti npin Ere Aja ni Mosalasi ti o fi kan Lemomu? This is a dead on arrival misplaced ambition. You won't even win an election as a ward chairman.

This corrupt obese fool can't fix a Rat hole in his back yard, not to talk of fixing NGR. The president of NGR 2023 is already a done deal in providence. He is a technocrat and a sitting Governor of a relatively small State in Souther NGR. We've broadcasted his name in a number of recently released Holy Spirit instructed broadcasts.
