About a year ago, my honey left me for another rich guy all in the name that she want to get married by 25.  first of all i'm not ripe enouch finacially for marriage and i keep telling her  getting wedded at that age is not the issue but the blissfulness thereof....... all of a sudden my wolrd tuned upside and no fomular worked any longer.... friends, family and well wishers intervened all to no avail.... at this point the only thing she knows how to do is to capitalised on my shutcomings.... When it got to the point that i discovered i will just die for nothing , i decided to accept my fate!  months latter we started communicating - she realised her mistake and i realised mine and improved seriously on the quality of my life... We talk everytime on phone except this few eeks , i tried to smoothen d odd between her ,friend and  my family...  The funniest part is that the new guy knows me well - right from the time i was tight with the girl but i never knew him. Her wedding ceremony is coming up this month and a copy of invitation has been brought to us.... but i do not think i can stand been at the ceremony for now....... what do u think i can do..............

According to your post...It seems like you ex loves you and willing to marry you but you ain't ready for that big step so she had to find someone who isn't taking baby steps. I think  the whole issue if from you i would do the same if i was the girl" She made it clear to you that she wanted to get married at the age of 25 and you ain't ready for marriage. Do not blame her for doing what she did.... I tell y'all, there more to this story than the OP is posting... My little advice for you is to stand up and look for someone way younger than you are so that you can  have many years ahead of you to get financially settled.... Like you said you have improved seriously on the quality of your life so be a man and attend the wedding and quit bitching around plus she ain't your honey no more

the girl  even had the guts to send you her wedding invitation(could be a kind of mockery) man if i were you i wouldnt even communicate with her again and me being in her wedding ceremony means i might end up pissing on their wedding cake.....throw up the middle finger at her and go find a better girl(there are lots of them who are willing to do anything to keep a guy like you) lets not lose our pride over worthless and less than nothing golddiggers

If you do not feel right about attending the wedding, then don't go...you have to move on (I feel like I have been myself on every post).
I just can't seem to understand why it seems to be most nigerian guys here that get their hearts broken and all that... that is just so weird sturvs... You all need to be men and suck it up. Life ain't fair, you just deal with it and move on.

You have said it, "i dont feel attending". So, dont attend the wedding, life goes on. Just give yourself time, you can stil find someone better.

Take heart!
