The atmosphere in the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, is filled with sorrow as two students of the institution have lost their lives in unfortunate circumstances.
The male deceased, Adedayo Ridwan, a final year student of the Department of History, was in the early hours of Saturday, October 16, killed by armed robbers. It was gathered that the incident happened around Preboye complex in the area.
According to reports, he was accosted by the robbers who collected his phone before sh*oting him. Efforts to save him proved abortive as he died on the way to the hospital.
In another unfortunate situation, a 200 level female microbiology student of the institution, Adeyemi Oluwaseun Ayomide, was hit by a vehicle on her way back from church on Sunday, October 17.
The accident was said to have happened around Mobil filling station, opposite the institution. She was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced d*ad.
