DJ Cuppy used the opportunity of International Women's Day to give a detailed account of how difficult her journey has been in a male-dominated industry. The ace entertainer took to her Instagram story channel to pen an emotional note about how a woman needs to work twice as hard.
Quoting an excerpt from an interview she shared on International Women’s Day, the billionaire daughter asserted on Instagram that women need to be strong in order to survive in male dominated fields.
In her words: “Going into a male-dominated space, you have to have zeal and be strong. Women have to work twice as hard to get half as much done.
“Compared to my male counterparts, I ‘m still underpaid, undervalued and according to them, I have a particular aesthetic which I fight to this day.”
