Singer Tems Becomes The 1st Female Nigerian To Top The US Apple Music Charts

Nigerian Afrofusion artist Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name Tems, has created history and set a new career record in the Nigerian music industry following her collaboration with Future’s new album.  Due to her collaboration with rapper Future, the singer has gained notoriety and established a Nigerian music industry record in the Apple Music Charts.
As a result of her appearance on Future’s new single ‘Wait For U’, Tems has become the first female Nigerian artist to ever top the US Apple Music Charts. Apple Music’s Top 100 Global Charts rated the song at the top. Wizkid (One Dance) and Drake are the only other Nigerian artists to have achieved this feat.
