A bride-to-be, Lilian Onyinyechukwu Nwabuike, was killed by a stray bullet allegedly fired by soldiers in Agulu, Anaocha LGA of Anambra State.
It was gathered that the unfortunate occurred on Saturday afternoon, April 30.
According to reports, the 25-year-old lady, whose wedding was slated for next week, was hit by the stray b#llet when security operatives engaged some gunmen in a shootout at the military post.
Reports had it that the gunmen stormed the place in three different vehicles and opened fire on the security operatives, who quickly returned fire. Three of the hoodlums were killed and others sustained bullet wounds.
The deceased was laid to rest on Friday, May 6, at her husband’s house.
