The son of Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state has attributed the All Progressives Congress' success in the 2015 election to Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Bashir El-rufai took to Twitter to make his assertion while praising the presidential candidate.
 He wrote:
 
I think it’s impossible to over emphasize the gravity of the role Asiwaju played for the party prior - 2015 and to date & this man being the most important factors as to how All Progressive Congress came to power at the Federal level. The reason was/is that individual, Jagaban.
