Gunshots outside, 'firing' inside; will you complete the assignment?!

This might sounds strange, but, it can happen. You and your person de do 'something' for inside, and before the completion of the 'task' you were attracted to gunshots outside! In that situation, will you run for your dear lives or complete the assignment(realising the importance of the task) before deciding what next to do?
