A video making the rounds online shows area boys accosting a police officer who was reportedly working as a commercial bike rider. The officer wore a jacket which covered his police uniform so it could not be immediately ascertained by passengers. Touts challenged him for refusing to remit some money to them after working as a okada rider in their area. In the video, they could be seen seizing his motorbike, so he was forced to remove the jacket and that was when his uniform became visible.
The boys then chided him for secretly working as a bike rider despite being a policeman, but he argued that he was not use the motorcycle for commercial purposes. They insisted that he was seen transporting passengers and collecting money, to which he responded that he only went to buy food. While the back and forth was taking place on a busy road, a police van pulled up close to where the encounter was taking place and he made moves to enter the vehicle.
