Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi on Sunday stormed Minna, Niger State where he met with former Heads of State, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida and Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar.

The meeting is unconnected with his 2023 presidential ambition. He visited the due alongside his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed.

Obi posted photos of the meeting on his Twitter page and wrote: “Today, my running mate, Dr Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed and I visited President Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, GCFR, at his home in Minna.

“He received us very warmly and we had insightful conversations on the state of affairs in our country. We are grateful to IBB for his fatherly welcome and counsel.”

On the meeting with Abdulsalami, he wrote: “It was a pleasure and honour for me and my running mate, Dr Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, to be hosted by Nigeria’s military president, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, GCFR, at his home in Minna today.

“Gen Abubakar is a true statesman with an abiding love for Nigeria who fueled our hope for a better future.

Only a corrupt, tribalistic, fanatics will leave a better candidate for a thief. How can somebody fake bishops twice.  ?? Bullion van criminal, very old and still very irresponsible.

Every tom dick or harry visits these old men especially when they're desperate.
At the end of the day, Obi will receive a certificate for being on the ballot papers as a contender.

God is set to disappoint any form of manipulation over the forthcoming election.  You don't understand the extent to which people are dying here, Nigerians cannot afford to go through the untold hardship, killings, kidnapping, etc. again.

These de-mystified yesterday men are electoral liabilities rather than assets. Endorsement from them for 2023 is a proverbial kiss of electoral death. Of course Peter Obi knows he aren't going to win the election. He is only enjoying his time in the limelight.
