The All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged Muhammadu Buhari to warn his ministers and other public holders, to stop working against the presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

This was contained in a statement signed by the deputy National Publicity Secretary, Murtala Ajaka.

APC has warned those elected on their platforms to choose between campaigning for Tinubu’s ticket or resigning their appointments from the party-led administration.

Ajaka was reacting to the public display of apathy to Tinubu’s presidential candidacy by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige.

The minister, who was a late-night guest on Politics Today, a popular programme on Channels Television, had hesitated when asked if he would prefer endorsing his party’s candidate or his fellow kinsman and successor, Peter Obi of the Labour Party ahead of the 2023 elections.

A clever Ngige dodged the question, saying he was no longer active in politics and would fancy his chances by making the choice at the ballot.

He said, “I’m not active in politics for now because I am facing national assignment,” he said, when asked his preferred candidate between the APC’s Tinubu and the Labour Party’s Peter Obi.

“Both of them are my friends. My choice will be in the ballot box. It is a secret ballot. I shouldn’t tell Nigerians what I would do secretly.”

Where did this man go wrong in the answer he to this Yoruba Channels TV man who shouldn't have asked this question in the first place.  Just dey find trouble. And what is wrong if he prefers his kinsman Peter Obi who to the best of everyone's knowledge is a better choice? By the way is he not the minister of Labour?  So it is necessary and Constitutional for him to support Labour Party. In case you don't know many other top government officials serving under Buhari prefer Peter Obi to Tinubu. Who wouldn't? Don't let me start mentioning names.

What is wrong in the answer he gave to this Yoruba Channels TV man? If Buhari likes let him sack our brother Ngige today . But in fairness to Ngige  Buhari has to sack his VP Osibanjo  first for refusing to step down for his kinsman Tinubu.  Abeg make una leave Ngige alone. This man has not had peace since una give am this yeye ministry.
