Ahmed Adetola, one of the suspect involved in the gruesome murder of a couple, Mr. Kehinde Fatinoye, and his wife, Mrs. Bukola Fatinoye have revealed how they orchestrate the dastardly act on new year eve. Ahmed speaking during the police parade stated that the plan that they had in mind was to get money from the couple and leave the house.
However, he alleged that Lekan was more wild and wanted to clear any traces that would lead to his arrest by the police. Speaking on how they caught the couples unaware, he revealed that they had hidden in the Fatinoye's dining room for about two hours while waiting for them to return from Church. According to him, Lekan and the other accomplice killed the couples after they got a large sum of 1.2 million naira.
He said, ''When we got to the Fatinoye's house, he [Lekan] went to the store to bring out a cutlass. He already had a hammer in his hands, so he held the hammer and gave me the cutlass. While Koffi held the gun in his hands. We laid ambush for 2 hours in their dining room before they came back from Church. Around past 1am in the new year, they came into the house.
When they entered the house, Lekan told them to lie down on the floor. They complied and laid down on the floor, Lekan took the wife to another place and they discussed certain things. He came back to us and told his boss to give us money.
His boss said he has no money and that he just lost his son, that we should have mercy on him. Lekan insisted that they should bring out money for us. The man later agreed to make a transfer for us. He sent 200,000 in the first instance, and Lekan vehemently refused and threatened to kill him. So he transferred 1 million naira making it 1.2 million naira.''
