Nollywood actor Olumide Oworu will be going head-on with his senior colleague, Desmond Elliot, at the polls come Saturday, March 18
A Twitter user recently dug up an old photo of the actor posing with Elliot years ago when he was still observing his NYSC service year
The photo sparked mixed reactions from social media users, with many rooting hard for Oworu to emerge winner at the polls
The Twitter user while sharing the throwback photo added a story to it
"Let me tell you all a story. During my service year in Lagos in 2017/2018, I was in one SAED group (Mentoring Mentors) which also happened to be my C.D.S. Amongst us (mentees) was Olumide Oworu (Labour Party House of Assembly candidate for Surulere,Lagos). #LabourParty #PeterObi
While we were on the training, Desmond Elliot was one of our Mentors. I can remember vividly the day Desmond came to have a session with us and how Olumide @OlumideOworu greeted him with so much respect and Humility.
In the course of our training that particular day, I can remember how Desmond Elliot was persuading us to vote for Buhari in 2019, so that power can return back to the South and other things that didn't make sense. When I saw how gibberish he sounded, I raised my hand to speak,
but baba pretended he didn't see me. Now, fast forward to 2023, his biggest contender is now someone who was in our midst (Olumide Oworu)
