A young Nigerian lady shares her experience at the hands of her mother who repeatedly body shamed until one day when she had the courage to respond.
Lady narrates encounter after replying mother who body shamed her
A Twitter @TheShilly took to the platform to narrate how her mother often made jest of her about being fat. According to her, she decided to counter her claim and let her know her place.
The lady noted that she interrupted her mom for the first time by saying she is not fat and if she was, she is not as fat as her mom.
Her father who overheard the conversation cut in and ridiculed the lady for being fat while under their roof, unlike his wife whom he met as petite.

“My mom body shamed me by calling me FAT! I wanted to do my own back so I responded with “I am not as fat as you” Big mistake! Her husband replied with ‘At least she is fat in her husband’s house, not her father’s house’ My chest is paining me,” she wrote.
