Why Do Most Nigerian Youths Shy Away From Farming?

i wonder why there are many unemployed youths when there is so much opportunity in farming business when a farming business will never make you go hungry. why is this so?

can you shed more light on this?

The major reason is that:1. farming is hard and it requires energy 2. In nigeria, people believe that manual farming is for the poor 3.of course the youth cannot go through university for several years and become farmers 4. the government doesnt really help the farmers this days 5. it means they have to go back to the village if they are to find a large farming land. 6. Sure they wouldnt want their girl friends to know that they are farmers.@ poster for example, if u r a woman(educated 1) would u marry a farmer? 7. they might get old before their tym, farming no easy na!! Grin Grin Grin
