I rented a car from 8rental - chauffeur service for a trip around Wales and had a seamless experience. The customer service was excellent, and they provided a very clean and well-maintained vehicle. One additional tip I'd add is to familiarize yourself with the UK road signs and speed limits before you go. They can be quite different from what you're used to, depending on where you're from.
