Federal Government Approves 37 New Private Universities In Nigeria

On Monday, May 15, the Federal Executive Council meeting took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, presided over by Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo.

During the meeting, the approval of the 37 new private universities was disclosed.

The Punch, a Nigerian newspaper, reported this development, stating that the number of private universities in the country has now reached 72 with the addition of these newly recognized institutions.
