Pastor Chibuzor Chinyere, the founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), denies the accusations made by the family of the late Deborah Samuel, claiming that he had abandoned them.

This comes after Deborah’s parents bemoaned abandonment; contrary to the claims of being offered a free residence, the landlord had informed them to pay the next rent or face eviction.

However, during a press conference held on Saturday, the OPM pastor refuted all the allegations, stating that he had provided them with a 14-flat mini-estate, making them the landlords who could collect rent from the tenants.

He labelled the family as ungrateful for falsely accusing him of causing them distress, despite his efforts to improve their lives.

Apostle Chibuzor further revealed that he had given Deborah’s father a car to start a taxi business and had opened a fully stocked shop for her mother, Mrs Samuel.

Expressing his confusion, he questioned whether they expected him to visit them regularly to supervise their management of the apartments and business.

He further shared the situation of a man who tried to commit suicide over his inability to support his family. However, after receiving help, he gave testimony about buying his own land.

OPM pastor on abandonment claim by Deborah’s family
“Do I need to come and know how you are selling in the shop? I stocked the shop. I gave you an estate, you don’t need to pay rent again. You are collecting rent from tenants. I don’t what other abandonment.

“Like now, I have not spoken to them in how many years; I have settled you. Like that man that climbed mast that wanted to commit suicide. What did I do? I asked him to come, gave his wife some money for business, gave him a free house and I put his children in school. Now he even bought land and came to give testimony in church.”
