ARISE TV news anchor, Rufai Oseni has reacted to the number of ministerial nominees by President Bola Tinubu. Following the initial 28 names nominated for ministerial positions, Tinubu, on Wednesday, sent 19 new names to the Senate for screening. The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, read the names out on the floor of the Senate after the screening of the first batch of names sent by the President last week. The second batch of the list includes five former governors and some other popular politicians.

The new list containing 19 names now brings the number of nominees to 47 after the initial 28 names. Reacting to the number of nominees, Oseni wondered how Tinubu plans on cutting down the cost of governance with 47 ministers. Speaking via Twitter, he wrote, “In all of this Pres Tinubu wants to work with 47 ministers and we say cut costs of government. We are jokers.”

So they must use former Governors or Ministers again for the new administration that’s why Nigeria can never get better. No fresh brains but old cargoes.
