but i guess age can be put in consideration....okay what if you had a son then one day he came home and waslike..'Mum i just meet my sweet heart and we love each other to death"...then you ask him to bring his sweetheart home so as to introduce her to the family ...then one day he came with this old lady whom you even mistake to be the girls mother.....but only to find out that she is the one that stole your sons heart.......you think its okay for him to carry on??

nothing wrong with that especially if the guy is taking care of the bills.  nowadays when ppl fall inlove they dont consider the age of both parties.  if age really was that important there would be more than enough single people
