Seun Kuti Calls For Socialist Society After Mr Ibu’s Video Begging For Financial Aid Surfaces

Singer, Seun Kuti has taken to Instagram to call for a socialist community in Nigeria.

He made the call after ailing comic actor, John Okafor aka Mr Ibu cried out for assistance over a medical condition.

Since the video was released, many notable celebrities and influencers have contributed their thoughts on the matter.

In Nigeria, we practice the capitalist system and Seun Kuti who is the son of Afrobeats icon, Fela Kuti is vehemently against this system of government.

Seun Kuti made a post on his page, championing the need for the socialist government.

He said;

“I say let’s build a socialist society where everyone’s basic needs are catered for, you say noooooo! I am a capitalist then u start begging for donation and giveaway. Come here first – Are you mad?”

Nigerians are over proud people who believe that a man without money is not fit to live. Too greedy and over ambitious. So, socialism can’t work. Mr ibu could be playing a prank on the public with his immediate family members to rake in millions in cash. Because of his popularity, many would donate. At the end he will smile to the bank. Davido begged the public for money to celebrate his birthday and because of his popularity, he made over 200 millions within 48 hours
