The truck heading for Akure and the commercial bus travelling towards Ilesha were said to have had a head-on collision at Ilara Mokin area of Igbara-Oke Local Government Area.
Daily Sun learnt that the accident was caused by foggy weather which made feasibility poor for the commercial vehicle. In the process, the commercial vehicle was said to have run into the on-coming trailer while trying to overtake another vehicle.
The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ondo State Command, Commander John Meheux confirmed the report.
He said the crash left the only survivor of the accident critically injured.
The FRSC boss said bodies of the victims and the injured had been deposited at the Akure General Hospital by the FRSC rescue team.
Meanwhile, Commander Meheux has advised motorists to take cognisance of the foggy weather which often impairs feasibility.
He advised drivers to always put on their headlights for other road users to see.
