PDP's Biggest Mistake Was Not Giving Wike The Vice-President Slot in 2023 Elections - Reno

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has stated that the biggest mistake made by the People's Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2023 elections was not giving FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, the Vice-presidential slot.

The activist who was rooting for the PDP in the last election said the PDP would have garnered more votes from the South-South if Wike was Atiku’s running mate.

He wrote:

''The biggest mistake we made in the PDP during the #NigerianElections2023 was not giving Wike the vice Presidential slot of our party. By how many votes did we lose to the APC? Less than two million.

If we had a running mate like Wike, we would have gotten that collectively from Rivers, Oyo, Abia, Enugu, and Benue with the G-5. In politics, you do not do what you like to do.

You do what you have to do. Under normal circumstances, an alpha personality like Wike, would be too assertive to be a follower. I would not even support it if all things were equal. Such a personality type is better suited for President and may be a headache to any President he deputises for.

But the last election was not normal. And all things were certainly not equal. Not at all! So we should have taken some abnormal steps. Tinubu understood the game better than us. Is a Muslim-Muslim ticket normal? No. But a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do!''

Thunder fire you there. Which Wike ? You think ndigbo would have ignored their own to vote for a persona non grata like Wike ? A bastard who has denied his Igbo root just to please the Fulani slave masters. PDP's greatest undoing was not giving Igbo the ticket. The moment Wike and his group committed that sin against God ndigbo swore for Atiku . Realising that Wike was the mastermind of the gang up against Peter Obi we went further to truncate his last hope of becoming the VP to Atiku. Even as the FCT minister he will not have peace until he is kicked out of there.
