Nigerian artist Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, often known as Joeboy, has revealed why he want to be like the two famed singers and music producers Don Jazzy and Olamide.
In an episode of the Afrobeats Intelligence Podcast, hosted by Joey Akan, he revealed this.
Joeboy expressed his admiration for Don Jazzy and Olamide, noting that they had both excelled in their own musical genres and aided in the ascent of other artists.
He went on to say that he is really optimistic about the future after leaving his former record label to start his own to aid aspiring artists.
While speaking, he said,
“I am so super excited about what is to come because one thing I always used to say to my friends then is that I want to be a combination of Don Jazzy and Olamide. Because it’s one thing to come into the game and create your own wave, and then help others and facilitate a lot more waves.
“It’s not even about the money, it’s about the fact that I can say I helped people”
