The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a 25-year-old man, identified as Emmanuel Ikoka, for his alleged involvement in the theft of electrical wires from a building under renovation.
According to the spokesperson of the command, Benjamin Hundeyin, Ikoka was apprehended by a vigilant security officer while he was exiting a building undergoing renovation at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital in Ikeja.
Upon his apprehension, Ikoka was found in possession of numerous electrical wires that he had allegedly ripped off from the building. The incident serves as a reminder for property owners and construction site managers to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to safeguard their buildings under construction.
An investigation into the matter is currently underway, as the police work to gather more information about the incident and ascertain any potential accomplices involved in the theft.
