Nigerian Video Jockey and Television presenter, Adams Ibrahim Adebola popularly known as VJ Adams has revealed some challenges he had to overcome in his career journey.
In a chat with media personality, Chude Jideonwo on his show, “WithChude”, the singer spoke about a wide range of topics including his career, personal life, relationships, and family, among other things.
Adams mentioned that an employer owed him a total of eight months salary. When Chude asked why he did not leave the job after such treatment, he answered, “It was a case of the job had to be done. If I left, who would do it? Besides, I loved my job so I wasn’t really worried”.
Speaking about regrets, VJ Adams said he owed an apology to the younger staff that subsequently joined the organization where he was being owed.
He mentioned that he regretted encouraging younger employees in the same organization to stay regardless of the circumstances. He said if he knew then what he knew now, he would have encouraged them to leave.
Furthermore, Adams revealed how he lost gigs because he did not have a social media presence and influence. “I only got on social media because of gigs. I lost a gig because of social media numbers. After that, I had to build my social media like a maniac”, he added.
Addressing the rumored relationship between himself and Nollywood actress, Bimbo Ademoye, Chude asked, “What is Bimbo Ademoye to you?”, Adams simply said, “She is an amazing woman, she is also pretty focused on her job and I admire her work ethics as well. I admire the fact that she respects her family, and if I have all of this information, that can only mean one thing.”
