Oluremi Tinubu, wife of President Bola Tinubu, has berated Nigerians abroad who have taken on jobs they couldn’t do in Nigeria.

The First Lady stated this during an interview with Arise News on Thursday March 21.

The former senator, while encouraging Nigerians to help each other amid the economic crisis, queried those who “japa” to take on work they couldn’t do in Nigeria.

“Nigerians we can help each other.

“It’s not that the government will begin to give food to everybody.

“It is for people God has blessed to help the poor,”
she said.

She added, “Even those people saying they are going to Japa, they go there. What work are they going to do?

“Work that you refused to do at home where you have loved ones, you end up going to do that.

“Even with all their education, they are driving cabs but won’t drive cabs here.”

Seriously Remi? You mean as an amazon driver that takes home about $7000 in a month, pay a bill of $1500 and other bills of $500, feed with $1500 and had misc expenses of about $1000 and save up $2500 in a month, if he does the same work in Nigeria, he can save up $2500 in a month?? Be playing! When you people failed, you kind of whip up narratives to console yourselves in a country where you still need to qeue for fuel, use generator, drive on bad roads and have security guard. You are stupid!

Madam First Lady, sorry to correct you on this ma! Someone working as a security guard in Uk with reasonable wages/ salary was able to cater for himself, his family both at home and abroad and still has some savings sufficient  to build his own house in Nigeria. That’s one,how about security, light and roads? Imagine after closing from work, the stress of unending traffic, plus lack of electricity to on his a/c if he has one. Please ma,a lot of people ja pa,not only for money but for security reasons too,at least we’re not thinking of being kidnapped either in our home or along the roads or even about taking a bus belong to “one chance robbers”.
