In a heartwarming declaration of love, US-based Nigerian Professor Uju Anya revealed her engagement to her same-sex partner, Sirry Alang, via her social media platform on March 23.
Sharing the joyous news with her followers, Anya recounted the surprise proposal orchestrated by Alang, which unfolded amidst the warmth of a gathering organized under the guise of attending Summer Lee's party.
Expressing her delight, Anya wrote, "Y'all. She said we were going to Summer Lee's party. I arrived to pick her up and had the most delicious shock. She colluded with folks, people flew in, we were surrounded by love. In front of our children and dear friends, Sirry Alang asked me to be her wife. And I said yes."
In response, Alang, also a professor, conveyed her profound affection in the comments section, further cementing the bond between the two.
