The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into a distressing incident where a ten-year-old boy, Israel Ogunleye, was reportedly strangled by another ten-year-old, Evbota Ezekiel, in the Ejigbo area of the state on March 28.

According to reports from the police, the father of the deceased informed authorities that his son had been playing football with other boys at Oluwole Street, Powerline in Ejigbo, where his mother's shop is located. Allegedly, an argument ensued among the boys, during which Ezekiel purportedly held Israel by the neck and strangled him until he succumbed.

Upon receiving the report, police officers swiftly responded to the scene of the tragic incident. Confirming the incident, the Command's spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, affirmed that the matter is currently under thorough investigation.
