A Nigerian realtor, Onyelike Darlington recounts the tear-jerking moment he stumbled on an old university student hawking buns at a market. According to Darlington, this former classmate was one of the most brilliant students in their department at Imo State University, Owerri (IMSU). However, the young man now earns a living by selling buns at a local market in the same state they both attended the university.
In a Facebook post, Darlington revealed how tears rolled out of his eyes upon seeing his former classmate in such a situation. He comforted him with a hug and reassuring words, gave him some money, and handed him his business card.
“Tears filled my eyes today when i ran into one of the most brilliant student in my department at Imsu then, he is selling buns at EkeUkwu owerri market. I sincerely felt for him when i hugged him and told him not to worry. Anyway i had no option than to gift him some money and my complimentary card which he called me immediately. “Well Lets see what the lord will do,” he wrote.
