In a moment of national pride, the Nigeria Super Eagles players faced an unexpected struggle.

As the new National Anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee”, played before their match against South Africa, many players couldn’t utter nor sing the words.

A voice behind the scenes, speaking in pidgin, echoed the obvious, "nobody dey sing o" (nobody is singing).

The phrase was repeated, “nobody dey sing o,” highlighting the players’ inability to recite the anthem.

Despite this momentary lapse, the Super Eagles went on to secure a 1-1 draw against South Africa, showcasing their skills on the field.
