
A somber mood enveloped the Kaduna State pilgrim contingent in Makkah as Hajiya Asma’u Muhammad-Ladan, a female pilgrim, passed away at the King Fahad Hospital after a brief illness on Friday.
The sad news was conveyed in a statement released by Malam Yunusa Muhammad-Abdullahi, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency. The statement, distributed to journalists in Arfat on Saturday, confirmed that Hajiya Asma’u was registered at the agency's headquarters.
In expressing condolences, the PRO stated that the agency's management and staff were deeply saddened by the loss and extended heartfelt sympathy to the family of the deceased.
"Malam Yunusa Muhammad-Abdullahi conveyed that the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency prays to Allah (SWT) to grant mercy to the departed soul of Hajiya Asma’u, forgive her sins, and provide solace to her grieving family during this time of profound loss," the statement read.
The deceased pilgrim's family has been notified of the tragic incident, highlighting the agency's commitment to providing support and assistance to them during this difficult period.
The passing of Hajiya Asma’u Muhammad-Ladan has cast a pall of sadness over the Kaduna State pilgrim community in Makkah, underscoring the solemnity and reverence with which her memory will be honored.
