A teenage boy in Benue State has confessed to trying to poison his mother after he was reportedly given a substance by someone.
the young boy was stopped and questioned about his intention to take his mother’s life, as seen in a video that has gone viral on social media.
In the video, the boy admitted to being disowned by his parent after moving on to his boss’ daughter and, hence, adopted by his current mother.
He recounted how a stranger had twice approached him and offered him a poison that was supposed to be added to his mother’s tea to kill her.
He claimed to have never met the stranger during the interrogation, but he did recognize him as the man with the beard that he had only met twice.
But when he was about to be forced to drink the tea he had poisoned, he begged for his life.
