Isaac Freeman III, known as Fatman Scoop, has passed away at the age of 53.
He collapsed on stage during a performance at the Green and Gold Party summer concert in Hamden, Connecticut.
Despite immediate medical assistance, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
His family confirmed the news on social media, expressing their deep sorrow over the loss of the iconic rapper and radio personality, celebrated for his vibrant energy and contributions to hip-hop culture
On Saturday, his tour manager announced his death, saying he was ‘lost for words.’
A viral video on social media shows Scoop collapsing on stage at Hamden Town Centre Park, Connecticut, on Friday and being brought to the hospital.
He was observed struggling after climbing the stage during his farewell concert before vanishing from sight, as doctors attempted to save him.
