![-]( "Vixenx") Vixenx at 2-03-2008 02:48 PM (17 years ago)  (f) of course you gotta work hard to get what u want..but some places are just set up differently to make things easier for ppl..there are ppl in naija living better than some of the ppl here, but you get more opportunity abroad than in naija..i mean i've heard ppl complain about finishing school and not able to find jobs..here jobs are offered to you before you even finish school..and plus you'll get the opportunity to further your education for free too..you just gotta be smart when it comes to what you want..education is the best policy, and you go where its best for you..not just for while you're in school..but also after wards...through my years of going to school..I didn't have to pay nothing for my education..i received scholarships and continued on cause i knew what i wanted, and now that i'm going back for my phd and my job is going to be funding that as well... so basically i think you need to be where you'll get a better opportunity..even if u believe you can in naija then so be it..but yes..you have to work really hard to get what u want in life.... | Posted: at 2-03-2008 02:48 PM (17 years ago) | Addicted Hero | |

the challenge with d Nigerian Nation is not resources, be it natural, human, physical and all that, but LEADERSHIP!  BUT d good news is that, U and I can make a difference, for it is only when d night is darkest, that d dimmest light is appreciated! Thus, instead of "cutting out" or "bailing out" as some have pointed out, let us(d youths and young@heart) begin 2 look 4 ways 2 make a difference in our beloved Naija! I've been in the US for about 6 years studying and I have to tell you life isn't always greener on the other side. I have never had to work so hard. I have cleaned homes for people, washed dishes for people - things I never had to do back home... at one time, I had 4 jobs as well as my classes. Life can be hard here as well unless you've got cash. Which I suppose is true everywhere. Maybe I'm just complaining, but I'm glad that I get to go home next year. hhmmmm....interesting to hear.....i think u really have gone thru life a lot....but i guess nigerians are born to work hard and they know the meaning of life unlike those whites there who were brought up so lavishly...if anything happens to them in future,they won't know how to survive like us.... actually,america is still ok to live in without papers....coz the government is not that harsh on u and they still give u human rights...there are other countries out there who treat illegal immigrants like animals....
