Nigerian social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman, has voiced his skepticism following the release of the first batch of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from Aliko Dangote’s newly operational refinery.
The refinery, located in Ibeju-Lekki, was officially announced on Tuesday during a high-profile webcast, boasting a massive 650,000 barrels-per-day capacity as it transitions from test runs to full production.
While the refinery’s launch has garnered significant attention, Verydarkman has not shied away from criticizing the situation. He questioned the sudden approval for Dangote’s refinery to produce petrol, despite the previous disputes between the billionaire and the government. His critique hints at possible covert government concessions and questionable politics behind the scenes.
