The Adamawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has apprehended and paraded 12 suspected vandals involved in burglary and theft.

During the event, the state commandant, Idris Bande, addressed newsmen, emphasizing the command's firm stance against criminal activities. "Adamawa is not a place for vandals or scavengers. We are fully committed to protecting public assets and ensuring that criminal elements are brought to justice," Bande stated.

He further reiterated the NSCDC’s commitment to enforcing Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s directive, which bans scavenger activities across the state. "Our operatives have been deployed to enforce this policy, and anyone caught engaging in unlawful acts will be held accountable," he added.

In a statement released by the command's spokesperson, DSC Nyako Baba, the renewed crackdown on vandals is in line with orders from the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Ahmed Audi. The directive emphasizes the need for all state commandants to prioritize the protection of national assets and infrastructure.

The 12 suspects are currently facing charges as investigations continue.
