Gunmen have abducted 10 persons and killed one other in Amaigbo, Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State to unknown destination. But police gave the number of victims as only four.
Daily Sun gathered that the incident occurred at the Eke Ukwu Market Square where the town union executives of Amaigbo Progressive Union (APU) assembled to discuss the burial arrangement of their traditional ruler, Eze Nwosu, who passed on recently. The meeting, according to a report, comprised both members resident at home and other parts of the country. According to the report, the said gunmen alighted from their Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) and fired some gun shots into the air before abducting their victims.
While trying to escape, a middle aged man whose vehicle mistakenly blocked their exit was reportedly shot dead. Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Linus Nwaiwu, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) told Daily Sun that only four persons were abducted during the town hall meeting and that the police is closing in on the hoodlums.

Hmmm............."Police is closing in on the hoodlums".....where are these so called hoodlums get the ammunitions they use from? Or is there an open ammunition store in naija?............i dnt believe this liers that call themselves police men......

hahahaha. they are closing on the innocent people who would latter be branded with the hoodlums if they fail to pay for their bails with the tune of 150.000 naira and up wards depending how far you cooperated with them in paying it fast . they the police knows who the kidnappers are. none sense.

when will Nigeria insecurity end? we said that we have security all over but there's no security. new members are been recruited over and over again and the result is always the same. there is not need air fresher when the rotten eggs has not been removed. the best way to get security in Nigeria is by removing all the formal rotten eggs and and bring new and fresh guys that have not been corrupted that much because i know that 9ja don't really good once for now and train them into those offices and watch what happens. Police security my yash. Good example of uniform robbers, killers and whatever u can call them. they are typically good for nothing.

Lack ov security, every government wil always make a promise to b4 elected dat dey will be full security in country, seee what we're encouter now in d issue ov security, shame to our government, if den born anybody well make den come call me to vote 4 anybody, i rather watch movie's in my house...

well we the youth have more to do for 9ja cos with the way things is going on one day u will find out the so call killers or wat ever they called them self will do more than that very soon u will find out that PASTOR CHRIS is been kidnerp by this people so we have to fight and stop all this now
