Police Arrest Two, Abuchi Kenneth & Ifeanyi Odu For Phone Theft In Enugu, Recover Stolen Items

Police operatives from the Enugu State Command have apprehended two suspects in connection with the theft of phones from a parked vehicle on Rangers Avenue, Enugu. The suspects, identified as 27-year-old Abuchi Kenneth and 29-year-old Ifeanyi Odu, were arrested on September 24, 2024, around 4 p.m.

According to a preliminary investigation, the suspects, who provided addresses in Zuba, Abuja, and Nekede, Owerri in Imo State, allegedly broke into a car and stole Samsung Galaxy and Infinix phones.

Enugu Police spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed the arrest, stating that officers from the New Haven Division acted swiftly upon receiving information about the crime. The suspects were intercepted and arrested at the Otigba Roundabout in Enugu. The stolen phones were recovered, along with the suspects' getaway vehicle, a Toyota Corolla with registration number KUJ 614 CF.

Further investigation is ongoing to determine the full extent of the crime.
