Nigerian comedian and content creator Ugeh Elohor Kenneth, popularly known as Comedian Ludus, was apprehended by police in Sapele, Delta State, on Friday, October 4, for allegedly raising awareness about the poor condition of Shell Road in a video shared online.
In an exclusive interview with Instablog9ja on Sunday, Ludus detailed his ordeal, stating that he was arrested by Mr. Sunny Nwakaego, a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Following his detention at the Sapele main police station, he was released after intervention from activist Harrison and local residents.
“Everyone in my street went to plead with him before I was released,” Ludus explained. “I created the video to draw the government's attention to the dire state of the road, not to cause trouble.”
Ludus' arrest has sparked discussions on social media about the rights of citizens to voice concerns regarding public infrastructure and the challenges faced by activists in Nigeria. The incident underscores the ongoing struggle for accountability in local governance and the importance of civic engagement in addressing community issues.

Instead of fixing the road, people were sent to arrest him.
