A shocking incident unfolded at a federal government school in Umuahia as Amarachi Chibueze, a senior secondary school student, reportedly bit off a portion of her classmate Adaeze’s tongue during a heated argument over food on Friday.
Witnesses reported that the dispute escalated quickly, with Chibueze allegedly grabbing Adaeze by the neck before biting off a section of her tongue and spitting it onto the ground. Adaeze was promptly rushed by school authorities to a hospital in Umuahia, where she is currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit.
Unofficial sources claim that Chibueze may have been expelled due to the severity of the attack, although other reports suggest she remains detained to assist with ongoing investigations. School officials have yet to issue an official statement regarding the altercation.
